Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a slow, gentle adventure and I mean that as praise. You wander a hand-drawn valley, light old lanterns, and slowly piece together why the place emptied out. There's no combat pressure, just exploration and small environmental puzzles.

The controls are a simple tap-to-move with the occasional item interaction, so it plays comfortably in one hand. What sells it is atmosphere: the art, the ambient sound, the little diary entries you collect. I kept playing past bedtime just to find one more lantern.

Puzzles are on the easier side, so if you want a brain-melting challenge, look elsewhere. But as a wind-down game it's one of the nicest things I've played on mobile this year.
